I got a response from Ariff regarding this. Yes, it looks funny, but it's not anyone's bug really. We mark Volume, Line-in, Microphone, CD, Line-1, Phone-in, Phone-out as being recordable because you can record from those tracks. gnome-volume-control uses that information when it decides on which page to place the track.
