I have an XFree86 4.0.1 setup with on-board Intel815 videocontroller
on ASUS CUSL2 motherboard.

X server crashes whenever I switch to another virtual console using
Alt-F? key combination. It dies with the following messages on the

Fatal server error:
lockup
When reporting a problem related to a server crash, please send
the full server output, not just the last messages.
This can be found in the log file "/var/log/XFree86.0.log".
X connection to :0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).
xinit:  connection to X server lost.
