I cannot find the message, though, and don't remember if it was on this or some other list. Is someone already working on this, or I can go ahead and do it myself (I have already done most of the work, but there are some parts of the original code which do frequent malloc/free of very small amount of memory and I would like to rewrite them more efficiently).
