In the past, this has cause= d weird problems, not unlike what you're seeing. If you build from source and it works, then we'll know it's that issue, and not something else. Yes I installed drm-kmod from packages by the 'pkg install drm-kmod'= ;
command and then added "i915kms" into the "kld_list" in= side
/etc/rc.conf
I can try to build drm-kmod from src but why you suspect the result
could be different?

Because while we= 9;re pretty good about binary compatibility between
14.0 and 14.1= , the kernel side of that is weak. In the past, this has caused
w= eird problems, not unlike what you're seeing. If you build from source<= /div>
and it works, then we'll know it's that issue, and not so= mething else.
