Ref. The recent post where I asked if anyone else had seen a phenomena such as: touch: /usr/ports/.../.../work/.extract_done: No such file or directory The solution was to remove the setenv NO_EXTRACT in my .cshrc. I had added the setenv NO_EXTRACT while experimenting with solutions to the problem of make of /usr/ports hanging when missing distfiles & missing internet are encountered, I now need to look for a different solution.
