FreeBSD mirrors are a $#@%&* volunteer efforts which are provided free of $#@%&* charge. You get what you $#@%&* pay for. It's too $#@%&* bad ftp3 (the mirror I $#@%&* maintain) is $#@%&* down because I could have easily sent you its $#@%&* way.
