well.  basic unix routing is just done with the route command.  if you
really wanted you could just have a large static route table after
compiling a kernel for all the devices and editing a couple of things in
/etc/rc.conf.

what other requirements do you have?  RIP, OSPF.  Would you ever need to
check the status of your PVCs in your frame cloud?  (Although I don't know
if that could be done with FreeBSD).
