This is on ia64 r244834, with ports tree at r311350.

I managed to updated devel/boost-jam fine:

# pkg version -vX boost
boost-jam-1.52.0                   =   up-to-date with port
boost-libs-1.48.0_2                <   needs updating (port has 1.52.0)
#

The boost-libs build fails with messages like:

./boost/context/fcontext.hpp:59:3: error: #error "platform not supported"
