So, from Marcel's explanation and looking at the boot.log file that I
posted on June 29th, I seem to have the USB issue too.

boot -a didn't help. Please have a look at the attached ask.log file.
BTW, I was never asked to enter the root mount...
boot -v didn't help either. I've attached the corresponding
verbose.log file if it can help further.
