They look like consumer junk to me.  maybe ok for the home and toy PC's but 
seems not really suitable for serious appliance work.

RealTek sucks.  We've solved a lot of weird problems in the Imail list by 
by replacing RealTek cards.  I've seen complaints in other lists and other 
OS's about RealTek.

Unfortunately, the very interesting Shuttle SV24 uses Realtek 8139.

most this tiny boxes are barebones (no cpu, ram, disk) in the $250 range. 
This box is complete for $400, cheaper than kitting out barebones bookshelf 
PC's:
