Just for fun I tried compiling some kernels with "ccache". It cuts the time it takes to compile LINT in half. And that is on a dual-athlon-1800 system with 2GB RAM and 15kRPM scsi disks, slower systems will see larger improvements. There about 100 files overlab between kernels, probably mostly stuff in libkern. Conclusion: Most people can probably benefit from using ccache.
