The SHA1 and RIPEMD-160 code is taken from OpenSSL. The MD5 header is copyright RSA Data Security Inc (and contains annoying s/_// differences between the OpenSSL version). I'm not claiming you didn't write at least some of that code, but libmd as it stands today clearly has a large amount in common with OpenSSL.
