--- Comment #32 from Torsten Zuehlsdorff <tz@freebsd.org> ---

latest release series remains 2.44. This still follows GNOME's old even-odd=
 release-development versioning split.

I see, thank you for the explanation :)

time issues if/when they come up.

Actually i have a build issue. When applying the patch and trying to build =
my
created Nyxt Port it fails with:

"Unhandled LOAD-FOREIGN-LIBRARY-ERROR in thread #<SB-THREAD:THREAD tid=3D10=
5072
"main thread" RUNNING
                                                  {1000AB0003}>:
Unable to load any of the alternatives:
   ("libwebkit2gtk-4.1.so.0" "libwebkit2gtk-4.1.so" "libwebkit2gtk-4.0.so.3=
7"
    "libwebkit2gtk-4.0.so")"

If i revert the patch and build against HEAD it builds fine again.

This is very odd, since i can't see any big differences in the build-logs. =
And
the files do exist. So currently i have no clue about this issue.
