https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D276451 Bug ID: 276451 Summary: graphics/gpu-firmware-intel-kmod: causes loading of i915kms to lock system hard Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: x11@FreeBSD.org Reporter: portmaster@bsdforge.com Flags: maintainer-feedback?(x11@FreeBSD.org) Assignee: x11@FreeBSD.org I recently got an Alder Lake based system, but had problems when loading i915kms. It would lockup hard and the power button was the only way out. I was given some support on the mailing list. But nothing worked. On a hunch I removed gpu-firmware-intel-kmod. And i915kms loaded w/o issue. Specifically, adlp_dmc_ver2_12.bin is the one being called.
