Tricky. Sometimes fixing the install-script (for example) is the easiest
and cleanest solution. Sometimes installing a rpm may make life much
easier. I tend to keep /compat/linux as clean as possible, but this may
be caused by the fact that I need a clean environment to do development
in :-)
