No, you asked me to pass any gcc related change to you because gcc was
in a flux that time, not because you don't want anyone committing to it.
Furthermore, you replied to the review request and didn't make any
objections to it, which can only mean that you didn't mind.

Please confirm that you still want me to back it out and I'll revert the
Makefile until the matter has been resolved.
