I use it all the > time. I'm afraid not. Tried plain NEWCARD too. If I have the card inserted it detects it, then stops after saying something about an ukphys0 device (IEEE ...). (If not, it stops after mounting root.) It's a thinkpad 600 with TI PCI-1250 cardbus bridge.
