I can only use 8bpp If use 16bpp My Monitor... Anyway, thinks |alot. No problem. However, your monitor isn't the limiting factor. The capabilities of your video card or the X server might be. If you know your card can do 16bpp in that mode (amt of mem, RAMDAC speed, RAM speed, etc.), I wouldn't give up now.
