I stand by that and point to the many successful installations of FreeBSD (and Linux) as obvious examples. Certainly any professional or amateur in the fields you mention will want to get this all rolling quickly. And easily. I don't really care in the end. Disk space is cheap, some of our users would like FreeBSD/KDE and will use it if it's stable. I'm more concerned about that last part right now.
