Message-ID: <19990413012909.A22843@drwho.xnet.com> Mail-Followup-To: freebsd-questions@freebsd.org Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii X-Mailer: Mutt 0.95.4i Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG I have installed 3.1-R from cdrom, and upgraded to 3.1-Stable through cvsup, etc... When attempting to build/install a port, I cd /usr/ports/whatever and do "make install". The "fetch" program starts, but then hangs and goes nowhere. this happened on the 3.1-R as well as the 3.1-Stable. In the end, I have to ftp the file manually. So far, I've gotten a port to install correctly only ONCE (I forget which one it was). All the others I had to ftp manually, *then* run make install...
