Can anyone suggest a network monitoring utility along the lines of ntop
that is properly sorted out. In theory at least, ntop should be a good =
thing,
unfortunately its doesn't appear to be sufficiently debugged to be =
usable.=20

Apparently the port for ntop is a geriatric one that is reported to have =
major=20
problems with resource usage, & the later versions are only alpha style =
things=20
best left to ardent hackers.

I did download mrtg & attempted to configure it but I couldn't get =
anywhere with the configuration instructions. From what examples I've =
seen, the html interface / information provided by mrtg is inferior to =
that of ntop anyway ... at least for my=20
purposes.
