These are NOT shared applications and modules, and CANNOT be shared across machines with impunity. In fact, the software will probably barf badly if you try it since parts of it want shared memory access on the local system. x10 is a directory that also is the default for the required add-on from Dan Lancini, and as such it really ought to go there unless you want to create TWO directory trees. I'll fix the event-pidfile and double-slash - see below for a new "shar". If you cannot accept this in the /usr/local arena as it stands then it simply cannot be included in PORTS. Please advise and I will update my repository and comments on my web page related to this should you decide to reject the port.
