I have a Toshiba Portege 3440 with both the vga card and the internal lucent modem. For the modem you can get this file: http://194.184.65.4/~gmarco/files/lucent.tgz and read the readme.first file. For the vga driver I know that it works quite happily with Xfree 3.3.6 (because I used it). I don't know under Xfree 4.x.x because I am using xig (www.xig.com) server now...
