There is a world full of people out there who don't share your sentiment
for TV English.

Bullocks and you know it. He sends in a patch which is more than most
people do, and therefore has put some effort into doing things. If you
want the argument behind the patch, then ask for it. Maybe he felt that
it was too obvious to mention. 

By the way, 'Why?' is less work to type then 'Sez who!?', with respect
to the number of characters as well as the space covered on the
keyboard.
