You need to read more closely. 8)

You'll need to talk to Scott Long <scottl@freebsd.org>, who now maintains 
the aac driver.  It ought to work; it certainly did before I handed the 
driver over to Scott, and we regularly hear from people running them.

Make very sure that you are running the most recent firmware; older 
firmware on these cards was... touchy.
