I don't know if this has anything to do with your problem, but some of the Belkin Omniview 8 port KVM switches were manufactured with two EEPROMs swapped. See John Polstra's description of the message on -hackers: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/getmsg.cgi?fetch=343418+345979+/usr/local/www/db/text/2001/freebsd-hackers/20010107.freebsd-hackers He was having trouble with the mouse, not the keyboard, but who knows, it could be an issue in your case.
