The errors you posted look very much like termination problems. The driver could be munging the termination on your controller. Please try the pre15 patch I just put up and also read the README.aic7xxx file concerning the aic7xxx=stpwlev and aic7xxx=term_override options. If the pre15 patch doesn't solve your problem, then please try to make things work using those two command options. There are descriptions in the README of how to use them.
