 	I tend to agree. Unless, building sendmail corrupts
 /etc/mail/mailer.conf which it does not on my home system.
 	I am a bit skeptic about it corrupting anything. As of
 qmail 1.03, it does lie on its own tree /var/qmail very far
 from /usr
