Shell scripts are not allowed to be SUID for > security reasons. > > -DG I ran a test with a shell script - but the problem came to light with 'submit' which is a program from MMDF which I just ported. Elm and PINE wouldnt work and I traced it to perms on the lock/home of MMDF q's. These would work if I was root, but as a regular user - nada. I finally got over this by setting the equivalent for mail group and giving group perms and setgid but this doesnt answer the primary issue.
