Hello,

in my workstation I happen to have:

	ad0: 76319MB <WDC WD800JB-00FSA0> [155061/16/63] at ata0-master UDMA100

that's an IDE 80GB Caviar (7200 rpm, 8 MB cache). As the HD is pretty cheap,
I've started to wonder if buying another one to setup RAID-0 stripe would be
any sense. What do you think? Mobo is ASUS A7V600 (with VIA 8237 UDMA 133
controller); I generally use this box to do some development (which includes
building sometimes large quantities of packages from source); I really
appreciate comments from users FreeBSD, that tried similar configurations
(raid-0 on ide).

Take care,
