I would recommend using djbdns, Dan Bernstein's DNS server / caching 
nameserver.  It's fairly easy to setup and you can tune it in many 
different ways.  You'll need to install 
/usr/ports/net/djbdns  /usr/ports/sysutils/daemontools.  You can get 
setup/config information at:
