If you really want to update php to 5.2.4 you can use this patch: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=ports/116188 Note that I wouldn't recommend using this patch, the security issues in 5.2.3 are not very serious, and this patch doesn't include the Suhosin patch.
