Import is done as follows: geli attach -p -k /tmp/backup.key /dev/gpt/backup zpool import -R /backup backup || exit 1 Then some "zfs send / zfs receive" stuff is done.=20 Export is done as follows: zpool export backup geli detach /dev/gpt/backup.eli When the machine is loaded, the export will fail.
