"xset fp+ dir1,dir2,dirN" for apps using X11 server to render fonts. Nothing for apps using freetype2 + fontconfig. The same is true for native X11. I've fixed xwayland-devel in ports r533550. Note, X11 server (Xorg or Xwayland) can't render fonts with antialising. $ pkg install dejavu xfontsel $ xset fp+ /usr/local/share/fonts/dejavu/ $ xfontsel -pattern '*dejavu*'
