The CHINON is a cheap drive, and I had some problem (and it required some help from a 535 owner who tried the patches I sent) to get it working at all. But I'm afraid, I don't quite understand your message. - Does 2.1R fail to complete the boot sequence ? - Do you boot a GENERIC or customized kernel ? - What is the final message printed ?
