I tried to upgrade gnome from 2.8 to 2.10 using the upgrade script and it only upgraded about 1/4 of all the gnome bits. I had to then go to the ports of gnome2 and install it via that way. When i try running gdm i get coredumps and a message saying that it would change to another greeter. I can login however, gnome doesn't start only bare bones window stuff starts. However, when i try to run startx in my home directory. gnome 2.10 starts up fine. Any ideas on how to fix gdm? oh the version is gmd-2.6.0.8_1 thanks in advance. ps: im not on the list, so if you can be kind enough to cc me id appreciate it. ta :) Find local movie times and trailers on Yahoo!
