This will act as a good reference in case of future similar questions. MATROX METEOR If you are using the Matrox Metor frame grabber, you need the following driver Supplied by Ian Reid, the current maintainer. http://www.robots.ox.ac.uk/~ian/Archive/meteor-1.4c.tgz BT848 (eg HAUPPAUGE WINTV, VIDEOLOGIC CAPTIVATOR, MIRO PCTV) If you are using a Bt848 frame grabber you can use EITHER the bttv driver which uses the Video4Linux interface http://www.thp.Uni-Koeln.DE/~rjkm/linux/bttv.html OR the port of the FreeBSD bt848 driver, ported by Brad Parker This bt848 driver has the same software interface as the Matrox Meteor making grabbing code portable between Meteor and Bt848 machines. It is located at ftp://ftp.parker.boston.ma.us/pub/mbone/bt848. All drivers come with examples which compile for Linux. Roger Hardiman Strathclyde Uni Telepresence Group, Scotland, UK.
