Sometimes an x-term running bash will mysteriously stop echoing commands as I type them in. It still accepts commands and executes them, but I can't see them. Even the newline character goes into the void. Here's an example, first the pwd command, and then ls: 01:45:10 root #/usr/X11R6 01:45:10 root #bin include lib man share 01:45:10 root # I'm using bash-1.14.7 with FreeBSD 2.2.2. If I install bash-2.0 can I expect this problem to go away? Thanks in advance. Kenneth J.
