Given that the port has no maintainer currently, it's unlikely to get updated unless it's by someone like you who is interested, and motivated. There are two PR's open against it currently, http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=ports/47380 and http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=ports/47420, although neither update it as far as you'd like.
