-- [ From: Andrew Stevens * EMC.Ver #2.5.02 ] -- Greetings: Thanks to all who replied to my question regarding the use of chat programs through an IP alias. I've been trying to open some ports up and get them routed to my Windows box, but haven't been successful so far. Can anyone give me an example of how to open one up, i.e. what revisions need to be made, and whether they go in ppp.conf, or another file? If I know how to add one, the others should be a breeze. I'll post some information about my system below to make the explanation a little easier: FreeBSD box IP: 192.168.1.1 Windows box IP: 192.168.1.3 Sample port to add: Apache Web Server on my windows box, using port 8080 (easy to test) Listed in /etc/services as: web2 Thanks again for your assistance.
