Are you sure that your mainboard supports PIO mode 4 on both IDE channels
and not only the first one? I remember there were boards that recognize
the highest possible PIO mode well, but cannot use it due to chipset
limitations. Perhaps I'm wrong, I'm not deep into IDE stuff :-)
