Hello, On my freshly installed box there is no sound in spite of the successful recognition of my mobo based sound card. FreeBSD 6.1-RC1 -- dmesg: pcm0: <Intel ICH6 (82801FB)> port 0x1000-0x10ff,0x1400-0x143f mem 0xcfdc0400-0xc fdc05ff,0xcfdc0600-0xcfdc06ff irq 21 at device 30.2 on pci0 pcm0: <Analog Devices AD1981B AC97 Codec> -- rc.conf: snd_ich_load="YES" # cat /dev/sndstat FreeBSD Audio Driver (newpcm) Installed devices: pcm0: <Intel ICH6 (82801FB)> at io 0xcfdc0400, 0xcfdc0600 irq 21 bufsz 16384 kld snd_ich (1p/1r/4v channels duplex default) Everything seems fine.
