Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG How do I stop X from blanking the screen when I'm watching TV with FXTV? I turned off the screen blanker in rc.conf, but the screen still gets blanked in X after about 5 minutes of inactivity. This is annoying, since I'm trying to watch TV, but also, sometimes I can't get the blanker to go away. Moving the mouse, trying to switch to a different virtual terminal, ctrl-alt-backspace to kill the X server, nothing wakes it up. I've had to reset the box a couple times because of this. There's still sound from the TV, but the screen goes black, and nothing makes it go back. any ideas?
