	Before I forget, freebsd-questions and questions are the same list. No
need to send it twice.

	Since you didn't say what kind of mouse you have it's hard to tell for
sure, but this sounds like an IRQ conflict. It's also possible perhaps that
you left your mouse devide out of your custom kernel config file. Please
respond and let us know what kind of mouse you have, and give us the
results of the following command:

grep -i irq /var/run/dmesg.boot
