Is there a way to start a userdefined application before sending out a mail in sendmail? It would be great to read some impressions because I did not found a solution at the moment. I am thinking about a crontab that starts fetchmail only if there is something in the mailqueue, so it enables ppp -nat -auto, fetches the mail and then sendmail -q. But i do not know how to find out if there is no mail at the moment and if this is a useful general idea or not. Is, is there no better way? event-oriented processing? A configure option anywhere in sendmailc.cf? I have searched in the dox but I did not found anything yet. -- Boris To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
