The docs say that I need to add PATH to the /bin directory of jdk. When I add it to .profile, I would assume I should be able to type "whereis" and type anything in that directory and it should show up, but it doesn't. And, when I try to run ./java in the bin directory I get "Segmentation fault". I believe I'm adding it to the wrong file, can anyone suggest what the problem could be?
