in ATA commands that it sends down to the disk. Linux reports the disk as b=

"ATA-0" where zero is the major ATA version.
And the new stack is missing this code:

and any support for CHS addressing.

I am not sure if it is worth resurrecting that old functionality to support
very old disks.
