I enabled atapicam and recompiled my kernel. Upon boot the screen was flooded with the following message: (probe8:ata1:0:1:0): INQUIRY. CDB: 12 0 0 0 24 0 (probe8:ata1:0:1:0): CAM Status: SCSI Status Error (probe8:ata1:0:1:0): SCSI Status: Check Condition (probe8:ata1:0:1:0): ILLEGAL REQUEST asc:20,0 (probe8:ata1:0:1:0): Invalid command operation code (probe8:ata1:0:1:0): Unretryable error The device is a Philips CDRW4012P CD Burner. On the same IDE cable is a Sony DRU-810A DVD Burner. The Sony is recognized and shows up as /dev/cd0. The Philips keeps spitting out that error. If any more info is needed, please let me know.
