I got a short pause, maybe 5 seconds, and then the system rebooted spontaneously. I didn't see any messages, I was in X at that time. I also didn't find anything unusual in the system log, but /var did contain the following file after reboot and BG fsck finished: -r-------- 1 root wheel 2097152000 25 Feb 10:56 .dump_snapshot I repeated the same dump after the system was back up (after removing the snapshot), and all went well this time.
