PS: Actually (that's the truth, not a joke) at least one reason for him to get a bike with a sidecar was, that his sheep dog didn't like to sit in a saddlebag. For some reasons the dog was in favour of a sidecar. The sheep dog was a female. Unlikely a male dog tends to be just nearly that pretentious.
